MISSION STATEMENT OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
OF LA ROCHELLE
Being responsible for the economic interests of its district,
the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of
La Rochelle holds an intermediate position between the public
sector and the private sector.
With the ongoing objective of economic
development in the La Rochelle area, the CCI of La Rochelle,
(having its organizational structure founded on the strength
and expertise of its of local company owners and management),
continually provides the means necessary for business management
development and business creation.
Business
Development
The Chamber of Commerce of La Rochelle will accompany
you through all the stages in the life of your company:
Help with creation (guidance, education, formalities)
Developmental aid (business plan, export, environment,
financing, innovations, etc.)
Help with the transfer or purchase of an existing
company (buyer assistance only).
Training
The Chamber of Commerce of La Rochelle is an undeniable
force in the areas of under-graduate, graduate and continuing
education. In the fall of 2008, Groupe Sup de Co La Rochelle,
our international business school, is welcoming more than
2,100 students, and Cipecma trains more than 4,000 employees
every year.
Air
Transportation
The Chamber of Commerce of La Rochelle manages the La
Rochelle & Ile de Ré International Airport,
the airfield and its buildings. Recently the French government
allowed the Chamber of Commerce of La Rochelle to open
the airport to air travel and in 2008 214,000 passengers
used the airport for their travel plans to and from La
Rochelle.
Fishing Port
A mixed
trade union of the Chamber Commerce and the City council
of La Rochelle is in charge of managing and developing
the port’s fishing operations.
